British American Tobacco
choose Filestation
Rackline have recently delivered the office and archive storage solutions for phase 1 redevelopment at the British American Tobacco Research and Administration facility in Southampton.
Rackline demonstrated the capabilities and principles of using Filestation within the open office arena, to which Fairhurst Design Group (‘FDG’) who realised that Filestation would provide a distinctive, aesthetic and sensible “semi-archival/at workstation” solution to the storage requirement for the redevelopment at BAT. Filestation also provided the perfect solution to interact with Herman Miller’s widely acclaimed product “Resolve” which was the chosen workstation solution.
Over a period of time Rackline worked with FDG tailoring the Filestation solution to take the system from a generic storage solution to a system that was specifically tailored to satisfy the needs of the staff within the facility.
Rackline was then requested by FDG to analyse the requirements for departmental archival needs and provide recommendations. It was established that a high density storage solution was the required solution. Rackline once again took their unique Monotrak storage solution and tailored it to the needs of each archival area for BAT. This meant the aesthetics and symmetry of the storage package were maintained throughout the whole of the Phase 1 redevelopment. |
