Chris Chrzanowski who took part in a charity darts match to raise much need funds for a local youngster, Ruby Owen.
The brave toddler who recently celebrated her third birthday, was diagnosed with a brain tumour in May last year and has since undergone surgery and received seven courses of chemotherapy.
Following a six-month fund-raising campaign, her family received £167,000 from hundreds of people all over the world who had been touched by Ruby's story.
Ruby will fly to the U.S. for life-saving treatment after fund-raisers donated enough money to pay for her pioneering cancer therapy. Family, friends and well-wishers have been doing everything they can to raise the £250,000 needed for the three-year-old to have the best chance of fighting off a brain tumour.
And this month their dreams came true when doctors in the U.S. confirmed a £90,000 discount for early payment, meaning the bill for treatment and travel has been reduced to just more than £160,000.
Speaking from the isolation unit at Liverpool's Alder Hey Children's Hospital, where Ruby is undergoing a last course of intense chemotherapy, dad Martin said he was "amazed and delighted".
