“I recently had a free standing library built opposite my front door, in order to store my 5,000 books, and 6,000 vinyl albums/singles.
After much deliberation, I decided to use a professional firm, to undertake the racking, as wooden shelving, and units, would simply be no use, due to the sheer volume and weight of the goods stored.
To this end, I searched on-line, and came across a leading UK company, that specializes in all kinds of storage systems, often catering for libraries and museums. having assumed my task would be too small for such a leading company, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a telephone call from Rackline UK Limited, confirming notice of my interest. having explained my proposed storage space was rather small in comparison to the majority of work carried out, I was assured the company listens to all its customers regardless of size.
Mr Jeff Hibbert, a director at Rackline, called me personally later in the day, and we discussed my requirements.
He rather kindly drove all the way over from Stoke-on-Trent, to my premises in South Yorkshire, in order to view the proposals. having measured up, Jeff then wrote to me later in the week, enclosing professional plans/drawings of the suggested work to be carried out.
I explained, that as I was planning more plastering work, skirting boards, and carpeting fitted later, any proposed measurements would be futile. again, Mr Hibbert kindly visited me a month later in order to measure and plan the proposed work to the millimetre!
I explained the building contained air vents, and electric sockets. this was not a problem, as measurements included areas where the steel racking would be die-cut to suit accordingly.
Following an agreement to an affordable rate, the wheels were set in motion, and I can confirm, I was so pleased to have chosen this long-standing professional organisation, to carry out my requirements.
The standard and quality of workmanship is second to none, and the professional workmen, that then delivered and fitted my steel shelving were also extremely professional, and skilled, delighting me with their service.
