Now for the technical bit……
Once the surface mounted floor tracks have been laid, an infill floor will be laid in the area to be occupied by the mobile shelving in order to provide a flush surface. The floor will be constructed from 18mm tongue and Weyroc board panels and is designed to give a floor loading capacity of 2.5kN/m2. The particle board panels are screwed to softwood joists which are positioned at 600mm centres. The joists are screwed directly to the floor slab and packed level with hardboard packers. A hardwood ramp will be laid to the leading edge of the infill floor to facilitate the use of wheelchairs and trolleys.
