Here at Rackline we have been working tirelessly on the Multitrak mobile storage system for the University of Leeds.  This project, worth more than £400,000 involves creating almost 18,000 linear metres of storage.  This storage solution will feature in the new Michael Marks building which houses the Marks & Spencer archive.

Having previously completed projects at other universities such as Glasgow, Aberdeen and Reading this is one of the biggest and most high-profile projects we have undertaken for a university.

With over 2,230 profile bays this project spans across two floors and will house books and artifacts that can be accessed by staff and students.

Speaking about the project is Andy Reed the technical and projects manager here at Rackline, saying, “We won the tender process as our proposed system, which features units that are over three metres high, provided the largest capacity whilst at the same time the most cost-effective solution.

“The university has already installed other products from our range which have worked really well for them so we were delighted to be involved with another project.”

Our product range is ideal for university libraries and specialised storage at universities.  The storage systems can be created bespoke to your university.  So, whilst your students are away on their summer holidays why not contact us to find out how our storage solutions can help you? Whether you have a range of artifacts that need to be protected or your current storage solutions are letting you down, we can help?

Simply give us a call today and we can talk you through the storage solutions we have.  We can create something that is specific to your needs to make life easier and to help protect the items that are important to you and your students.
