Today we are in the news after completing storage solutions work with three major universities.  These three projects combined are worth around £1m.  The work was carried out at Leeds, Reading and Aberdeen university.  The storage solutions have included a £500,000 project at the £57m library at Aberdeen University.

The three storage solution projects were, in themselves, quite challenging.  Speaking on behalf of Rackline is Tracy Goodwin, commercial director, who said. ‘Over the years Rackline has worked on many educational projects so it is great to add these three high profile universities to our client portfolio.

‘Each university had their own specific requirements for their project and we provided storage solutions around their individual needs.  Our products are flexible and can be created to fit into any space so we could easily fulfill their requirements.’

The feedback from these three storage projects has been really positive.  The Conservator and Preservation Manager at Reading University, Geoff Gardner, has said, ‘Rackline’s work at Reading University was to relocate up to half a million books following the closure of our Bulmershe Campus.

‘This project was challenging due to the high number of books we had to relocate.  Rackline were really flexible in their approach and provided storage which maximised on capacity.’
