Rackline have successfully completed the installation of mobile racking to the Whitworth Art Gallery Collection Zone Areas.
Rackline were given the brief of storing all of the existing collections within 3 new Storage Collection Zones within the newly refurbished building.
The storage systems proposed consisted of a wide range of challenging and innovative storage solutions, to accommodate collections such as rolled materials, costumes, solander boxes, sculptures, paintings, etc.
In order to accommodate the wide variety of collections, Rackline used a range of products to best suit the accessibility of the collections. These product ranges included Monotrak mobiles, Profile shelving, Prospan shelving, Pallet racking, pull-out cradles, pull-out drawers, hanging rails etc.
The time consuming task of transferring the collections into the new stores has now begun, with Rackline to install one further mobile system within the Study Area later this year.
