Rackline has been fortunate to work with The University of Liverpool to design a specialised storage system for the new Central Teaching Laboratories.
The Earth Sciences Department required a special shelving system to hold rock samples. They also required these samples to be moved easily from the storage areas, out into the teaching areas.
Rackline designed shelving to hold special sized metal trays. These trays were designed so that even when full of rock samples, they were not too heavy for the staff and students to transport. Rackline then designed a special trolley to hold the trays. These trolleys not only made the trays easy to transport, but by making them the same height as the workstations and to match the worktops, they could be placed between the workstations to extend the work surface area for larger samples.
