Rackline have recently been asked to undertake an exciting storage project for a Zoology museum.
“The University Museum of Zoology is a museum of the University of Cambridge and part of the research community of the Department of Zoology. The Museum houses an extensive collection of scientifically important zoological material”.
After phase 1 of our work, we have now completed the first phase of works at the Museum of Zoology (University of Cambridge). This first phase included the installation of Multitrak mobile shelving floor tracks, which were installed into pre-cut floor channels at precise locations.
These floor tracks were installed into 5 separate stores, which will eventually house the Museum’s collections of Bird samples, Vertebrate Collections, Insect Collections and many more.
Rackline are due to return to site on Monday 18th August to continue with phase 2 of the works. These works will consist of building Multitrak mobile and static shelving units within 7 separate stores, to house existing Museum drawers and trays of various sizes.
