What is Roller Racking?

Roller racking is a collective term for shelving that is mounted on mobile bases. These mobile shelving units are designed to move effortlessly on tracks and remove the aisle space you would need with conventional static shelving solutions. Our clever Monotrak roller racking system can be installed on any flat floor surface without the need for building works. These systems give you great flexibility and can be easily moved should you relocate premises.  

In addition, Rackline’s Roller Racking solutions and can be locked closed, this provides easy access to your documents, but more secure than conventional open static shelving.

Monotrak Roller Racking

The unique Monotrak mobile shelving system operates on a single guide track fitted directly to your existing floor, without the need for extensive and often costly site work.

Installation is a simple process that leaves existing floor coverings completely intact and with no residual mess, especially helpful if you want to re-locate the system at a later date.

Multitrak Roller Racking

The Multitrak system operates on multiple torque tubes and wheels allowing for long bases and high load capacity.

Multitrak mobile carriages can be up to 12 metres long and carry loads of up to 15 tonnes per carriage. Even with these huge weights, carriages can be moved with ease, and powerful guide and drive systems ensure carriages remain perfectly aligned.

Powertrak Electronic Racking

Powertrak electronic mobile shelving has all the sophisticated programmable logic controls you would expect from the latest hi-tech system, but it combines this technology with the simplest operator controls imaginable. In normal operation, the operator simply presses “Green for Go” and all controls and operations are handled automatically by the logic controls.

What is Roller Racking?

Roller racking units are steel mobile shelving and storage units, mounted on wheeled bases that run effortlessly on tracks. These tracks are either laid onto your existing floor (Monotrak) or set within a concrete floor (Multitrak).

These systems can be manual (with handles) or electrically operated (such as our Powertrak models) and save up to 70% more space compared with static shelving solutions. They do this by removing the aisle space usually associate with shelving, allowing you to open an aisle only when you it.

These popular storage systems deliver outstanding flexibility, and maximise space without impacting  efficiency or productivity. 

How much space can these systems save?

These mobile solutions allow you to increase your storage on average by 70%. Typically, you can fit the same amount of storage in 50% of this type of storage unit. These high-density storage solutions can be moved or extended as circumstances change with minimal disruption.

How safe is roller racking?

Rackline’s Roller Racking systems are extremely safe, complete with locking handwheels that ensure open aisles are braked. They also boast geared drive systems that enable fully loaded mobile shelving bases to be operated with minimum effort. The grooved wheels and tracks on the storage systems ensure accuracy of movement, and prevent longer-span racking systems from bending along their length.
